After a significant hiatus, former Union Minister and ex-JD-U leader RCP Singh recently visited former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence in Patna. This meeting, following a prolonged period of political distance between the two leaders, has sparked speculation about RCP Singh’s future political trajectory.
RCP Singh took to social media on Saturday to share details of the interaction, posting a picture with Nitish Kumar. In his post, he characterized the meeting as pleasant, highlighting that he engaged in discussions with his former leader.
According to sources within the party, RCP Singh, accompanied by his supporters, waited outside Nitish Kumar’s residence. Upon Kumar’s emergence, RCP Singh greeted him respectfully. Images from the event depict the two leaders standing together.
While some accounts suggest that Nitish Kumar briefly acknowledged RCP Singh before engaging with other party members, RCP Singh maintains that he did have a cordial meeting and conversation with Nitish Kumar. The encounter has reignited speculation about RCP Singh potentially rejoining the Janata Dal (United).
However, there has been no official declaration from either RCP Singh or the JD(U) leadership regarding his political future. Speculations in political circles hint at Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, possibly playing a role in facilitating the meeting, although this remains unconfirmed.
