Four gangsters were killed, and one was critically injured during a confrontation between the Gurugram Crime Branch and armed criminals in Sushant Lok Phase-2. The incident occurred after the accused allegedly fired at a businessman’s residence following an unmet extortion demand linked to a foreign-based gangster.
The encounter unfolded at around 9:30 p.m. when the Crime Branch, acting on a tip-off about armed individuals in a suspicious SUV, swiftly responded by setting up barricades in the area. Despite police warnings to surrender, the suspects engaged in indiscriminate firing, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire.
All five alleged shooters, reportedly associated with the foreign-based Deepak Nandal gang, sustained gunshot wounds during the clash. Four of them succumbed to their injuries at a private hospital, while the fifth remains in critical condition under medical care. Additionally, three Gurugram Police personnel were injured and are currently receiving treatment.
Authorities disclosed that nearly 60 rounds were fired during the encounter. Following the incident, forensic teams and senior police officers conducted a thorough examination of the crime scene, gathering crucial evidence. Gurugram Police emphasized their commitment to public safety and vowed to pursue legal actions against those who disrupt peace.
Legal proceedings are ongoing, with the identities and criminal backgrounds of the deceased and injured suspects set to be revealed later. Notably, five foreign-made pistols were recovered from the site.
