Four individuals lost their lives, and two others sustained serious injuries in a tragic incident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district. The accident occurred when a car carrying six people from Maharashtra’s Aurangabad collided with the rear of a truck near Titrod village. The victims, who were en route to Delhi to purchase mobile equipment, were trapped inside the severely damaged car following the collision.
Local residents and passing motorists came to the rescue, working together to extricate the occupants from the wreckage. Emergency services and law enforcement arrived promptly at the scene, transferring the injured and deceased to the Sitamau Community Health Centre. Tragically, four occupants were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the two injured individuals are in critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as Ravindra Kale, Sachin Gangadhar, Rajendra Kovde, and Sandeep, all hailing from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Initial investigations suggest that the accident resulted from excessive speed, although further inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances. Authorities have registered a case and are actively investigating the incident.
Following the collision, the truck driver absconded from the scene with the vehicle. Efforts are underway to locate the truck and identify the driver through CCTV footage and other available evidence. The district administration has notified the families of the deceased, and post-mortem examinations are being conducted on the bodies as part of the ongoing investigation into the tragic crash.
