According to reports from French daily Le Monde, over 20,000 people gathered on the Champs-Elysees around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, while law enforcement worked to manage the crowd. Amid the celebrations, one police officer sustained injuries, a kiosk was set ablaze near the avenue, and around six vehicles were vandalized. The fire was eventually extinguished.
The mayor’s office of Paris’s 15th arrondissement disclosed that nearly 100,000 individuals are anticipated to assemble at the Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower on Sunday for a PSG parade. France has deployed 22,000 police personnel to maintain order in the capital, following previous incidents during PSG’s Champions League victories.
