Fresh CCTV footage has emerged showing Twisha Sharma visiting a beauty salon in Bhopal shortly before her death, shedding new light on the investigation into her alleged suicide. The footage reveals that Twisha spent nearly three hours at the salon, receiving a head massage and pedicure before leaving around 6:15 p.m. She appeared calm and relaxed during her visit, with no apparent signs of distress captured on camera.
The salon owner, Kiran Parihar, disclosed that Twisha was a regular customer who had visited the salon multiple times in the past. Following Twisha’s demise, her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, contacted the salon seeking information about her visit. Giribala Singh inquired about the timing of Twisha’s arrival and departure, payment details, and evidence confirming her presence at the salon.
According to Parihar, Twisha did not make any payment during her last visit as she had a prepaid package from around her brother’s wedding. Giribala Singh later requested the CCTV footage and informed Parihar about Twisha’s suicide. Subsequently, a group of unidentified individuals, dressed like lawyers, arrived at the salon claiming to collect the footage on behalf of the police.
A CCTV technician visited Giribala Singh’s house late on the night of May 12 to extract the footage. Twisha Sharma was discovered hanging at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal on the same day. Allegations of mental harassment and dowry-related abuse have been made against her husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law Giribala Singh. Samarth Singh, who had been missing for ten days post the incident, was apprehended in Jabalpur and brought back to Bhopal.
