Fresh details in the investigation of Ketan Agarwal’s alleged murder reveal that the accused, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary, used coded language and nicknames to communicate, aiming to avoid detection by authorities. Police sources disclosed that a Snapchat conversation between Siya and a friend has surfaced during the probe, where Siya chillingly mentioned that the “wedding is never going to happen.”
Investigators are scrutinizing the alleged Snapchat exchange between Siya and her friend, where Siya reportedly requested a copy of her friend’s Aadhaar card for flight ticket booking purposes. Siya’s message in the chat read, “Send me your Aadhaar card to book tickets for a wedding that is never going to happen.”
Authorities are probing whether the purported flight booking was part of a scheme to maintain the facade of ongoing wedding preparations, diverting attention from the alleged murder plot. They are also exploring if it was a tactic to mislead authorities following Ketan’s demise.
Forensic analysis of deleted mobile data suggests that Siya and Chetan Chaudhary engaged in coded communication post the alleged murder. Police suspect these coded messages were aimed at concealing details of the alleged conspiracy, with the duo accused of killing Ketan, who was engaged to Siya, and then attempting to destroy evidence.
Both accused, Siya and Chetan, have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by a local court, which denied the police’s request for further custodial interrogation. The court’s decision came after the police sought extended custody to decode the alleged conversations, understand motives, and establish roles in the murder conspiracy.
