Fresh details have emerged in the investigation of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal’s death. Police claim that the alleged murder was motivated by the accused, Siya Goyal’s reluctance to marry her fiance. Goyal reportedly confessed that she found it easier to eliminate Agarwal than to break off their arranged marriage to avoid disappointing her family.
The police are expanding their inquiry into the involvement of Goyal and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary. They are questioning family members and analyzing digital evidence to establish the suspected conspiracy. A significant development has occurred in the Ketan Agarwal murder case in Pune, with police delving into various aspects of the lives of the accused individuals.
Investigators allege that Agarwal, a realtor, died after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. It is claimed that Goyal and Chaudhary conspired to kill him as Goyal did not wish to proceed with her planned marriage to Agarwal in November. Goyal reportedly expressed that she believed eliminating her fiance was a simpler option than confronting her family and canceling the wedding to avoid hurting their sentiments.
As part of the ongoing investigation, six teams have been formed by Pune and Lonavala Police to delve into the case. Goyal’s parents are currently under interrogation at Lonavala City Police Station, while her brother, Sahil Goyal, is undergoing further questioning. Sahil Goyal revealed during questioning that he was acquainted with Chetan Chaudhary and that his sister met him at a cricket match, eventually becoming close at a Diwali party.
Investigators also disclosed that call records show Goyal and Chaudhary communicated over 2,000 times since January, with their conversations totaling around 238 hours. Despite this, Goyal’s parents deny any interaction with Chaudhary, while Goyal’s lawyer asserts that Chaudhary was solely a friend. Police are focused on recovering deleted data from the accused’s phones to strengthen the alleged conspiracy angle.
