Gene Simmons, the lead singer of KISS, expressed his discontent with celebrities who openly discuss politics. The 76-year-old musician believes that public figures, including actors and comedians, should refrain from sharing their political views and instead focus on their work. Simmons emphasized that people are not interested in celebrities’ opinions on world events and should stick to their art.
Simmons’ comments came after actor Ben Stiller criticized President Donald Trump for using a clip from his movie ‘Tropic Thunder’ to justify military actions. The rock icon urged entertainers to “shut the f*** up” and avoid lecturing the public about political matters. He specifically mentioned actor Mark Ruffalo, whom he mockingly referred to as “Buffalo,” for his frequent political commentary.
Despite his stance on celebrities discussing politics, Simmons himself has previously shared his views on Trump. While initially praising Trump’s impact on the political system, Simmons later criticized the former president for causing division in the country. He described Trump as self-serving and highlighted the polarization he believed Trump had fueled.
