Actress Genelia Deshmukh recently reminisced about her past South Indian movie songs on social media, expressing nostalgia when they trend. She emphasized that certain emotions transcend trends and endure for a lifetime. Genelia, known for her roles in films like “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na,” shared photos in an ethnic attire, featuring the song “Nallka Nallani” from her 2004 movie “Sye” as the background music.
Composed by M.M. Keeravani, the track also features vocals by K. S. Chithra. “Sye,” directed by S. S.Rajamouli, stars Nithin, Genelia, Shashank, and Pradeep Rawat, among others. The film, produced by A. Bharati for Sri Bharathi Enterprises, revolves around rival student groups from Science and Arts streams who unite against a local gangster’s threat in their college campus.
Genelia began her acting journey with the Hindi film “Tujhe Meri Kasam” in 2003, gaining prominence with the Tamil movie “Boys” the same year. Apart from Bollywood hits like “Masti” and “Force,” she has also been part of successful South Indian projects such as “Bommarillu” and “Satyam.”
