General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Eastern Army Command, Lt Gen V.M.B. Krishnan, recently assessed the security situation and operational readiness in Nagaland. During the visit, he met with the Chairman of the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) to discuss security issues and ceasefire mechanisms. Lt Gen Krishnan also visited the Headquarters of the Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) to evaluate the security scenario and ongoing operational initiatives in the region.
The Army Commander received a detailed briefing on the operational environment, security dynamics, and the formation’s preparedness to tackle emerging challenges. He commended the officers and troops for their professionalism and dedication towards maintaining peace and security in the region. In recognition of their exemplary performance, Commendation Cards were presented to deserving personnel.
Furthermore, Lt Gen Krishnan engaged in discussions with the CFMG Chairman to review the security situation and emphasize the importance of inter-agency coordination for lasting peace.
