GM Breweries, a major country liquor manufacturer in Maharashtra, saw a 30.2% drop in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY27. The company’s net profit fell to Rs 37.74 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 54.07 crore in the previous quarter.
Despite the sequential decline, GM Breweries’ net profit rose by 45% year-on-year, reaching Rs 26 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenue from operations in Q1 FY27 was Rs 802.9 crore, down 1.23% from the previous quarter but up 26% from the year-ago period.
GM Breweries’ total income decreased by 2.52% sequentially to Rs 808.45 crore in Q1 FY27. However, the company showed improved operational performance compared to the same quarter last year, with EBITDA rising by 53% year-on-year to Rs 47 crore.
Earnings per share (EPS) also saw an increase, reaching Rs 16.52 in the first quarter from Rs 11.32 in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. GM Breweries, known for brands like G.M. Santra and G.M. Doctor, operates a bottling plant in Maharashtra’s Thane district with a daily capacity of around 50,000 cases.
The company approved its financial results at a board meeting on July 9 and submitted them to the stock exchanges on July 13.
