Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of two Army personnel in a road accident in Upper Subansiri district. Naib Subedar Kulwant Singh and Naik Pradeep Kumar Sharma lost their lives while serving the nation. The Governor paid tribute to their courage and commitment to safeguarding the borders.

The Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for eternal peace for the departed souls and strength for their loved ones. In Manipur, a wreath-laying ceremony was held to honor the sacrifice of Lance Naik (Late) Khim Bahadur Thapa, Lance Naik (Late) Bhola Dutt Chhetri, and Lance Naik (Late) Padam Bahadur Sunar. These soldiers displayed exceptional bravery during counter-insurgency operations in Aizawl in 1966.

During a fierce attack by the Mizo National Front insurgents, the soldiers bravely defended their post despite sustaining severe injuries. Their sacrifice serves as a testament to valor and selfless service. Another ceremony in Manipur paid tribute to Subedar Sarwan Kumar, who lost his life in 2009 while courageously fighting insurgents in Kangpokpi district.
