Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel engaged in a bilateral meeting with Russian trade representatives, including Zlata Antusheva, during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Vadodara. This meeting, part of a series of engagements on the conference’s opening day, aimed to foster economic cooperation.

Discussions between the parties centered on enhancing economic and industrial ties between Gujarat and Russia across various sectors like transport, smart cities, finance, and industry partnerships. They also explored opportunities for collaboration involving Indian MSMEs and the expansion of INR-based financial transactions to facilitate smoother trade.

The deliberations included sector-specific collaborations with Russian companies like Archem in specialty chemicals and Eurochem in fertilizers, indicating potential areas for deeper industrial engagement between the two regions. Gujarat’s Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to expanding global partnerships through the Vibrant Gujarat platform, especially in emerging and strategic sectors.

Senior state officials, including Chief Secretary Manoj Das and others, attended the meeting, showcasing Gujarat’s dedication to fostering international ties. The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Central Gujarat serves as a platform for promoting investment, industrial development, and technology partnerships across key sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, and smart urban development.
