Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled eight new Smart GIDC Estates in five districts during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Central Gujarat. These Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estates will cover a total area of 3,611 acres across Kheda, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, and Bhavnagar districts. The inauguration took place in the presence of Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, diplomats, investors, and industry representatives.
The new industrial estates were officially launched by the Chief Minister through a remote button press at the event. Officials at the conference described this initiative as a significant advancement in Gujarat’s industrial progress. They emphasized the state’s commitment to forward-thinking industrial development beyond traditional structures.
The launch of the Smart GIDC Estates is part of Gujarat’s broader industrial development strategy showcased at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference. This initiative aims to boost regional investments, enhance industrial infrastructure, and solidify Gujarat’s status as a key manufacturing and investment hub. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi revealed Gujarat’s 20-year economic master plan for Central Gujarat, targeting Rs 10 lakh crore in fresh investments over the next five years under the newly introduced ‘Viksit Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026’.
The Smart GIDC Estates are set to expand Gujarat’s network of industrial estates managed by the GIDC, offering planned industrial infrastructure to bolster manufacturing and investments in strategically located districts. This launch aligns with the state government’s efforts to broaden industrial capacity beyond existing manufacturing clusters while promoting balanced regional growth through new industrial ecosystems across Gujarat.
