Vijay Rupani, who served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister from 2016 to 2021, tragically passed away on June 12 last year in the Air India Flight AI-171 crash. The crash, which occurred shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, resulted in a devastating loss of lives. Rupani’s untimely demise in the tragic incident was a profound loss for the state and the nation.
