Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel honored the late former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on his death anniversary. Patel praised Rupani’s leadership, public service, and contributions to the state. Political figures across Gujarat also remembered Rupani with messages of respect and remembrance.

In a social media post on platform X, Patel expressed his heartfelt tribute to Rupani. He highlighted Rupani’s gentle, sensitive nature, transparent leadership in Gujarat’s development, and his role as the state BJP president. Rupani’s legacy as a leader and his work for the state were acknowledged by Patel.

Jagdish Vishwakarma, the BJP state president, also paid homage to Rupani on his first death anniversary. Vishwakarma lauded Rupani as a senior leader and former state BJP president. He emphasized Rupani’s significant contributions to the organization’s growth and the progress of Gujarat. Vishwakarma praised Rupani’s simplicity and dedication to public welfare.

Vijay Rupani, who served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister from 2016 to 2021, tragically passed away on June 12 last year in the Air India Flight AI-171 crash. The crash, which occurred shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, resulted in a devastating loss of lives. Rupani’s untimely demise in the tragic incident was a profound loss for the state and the nation.
