Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to distribute appointment letters to 11,607 newly recruited candidates of the Gujarat Police at a ceremony on December 23 at the Ramkatha Ground in Gandhinagar. The recruitment process for the Lokrakshak cadre, aimed at enhancing the state’s internal security and policing capacity, has been successfully completed by the Home Department of the Gujarat government.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi will be present at the event, along with Minister of State for Police Housing and Kamlesh Patel, to motivate and encourage the newly appointed recruits. The recruitment drive, which selected 8,782 male and 3,117 female candidates through a transparent process, was conducted for a total of 11,899 posts.

Appointment letters will be handed out to 11,607 candidates who have completed document verification. This significant recruitment of new personnel is a crucial step towards strengthening police presence, enhancing response mechanisms, and ensuring public safety in Gujarat.

Highlighting the government’s focus on employment generation and public institution strengthening, officials mentioned that a fresh advertisement for 13,591 additional vacant police posts has been issued. The ongoing recruitment drive reflects the government’s dedication to offering transparent and substantial employment opportunities to the youth of Gujarat.
