Dr. Mookerjee, born on July 6, 1901, was an educationist, parliamentarian, and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. He served as India’s first Minister for Industry and Supply before resigning over policy differences. Dr. Mookerjee passed away in 1953 while in detention in Jammu and Kashmir.
