Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel initiated 49 public welfare projects valued at Rs 234.01 crore in Khambhat, boosting infrastructure and social progress in Anand district. Speaking at Chakdol Ground, Patel emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring comprehensive development for all citizens. These projects, ranging from roads and buildings to education, health, urban development, and water resources, aim to elevate the quality of life in Anand district significantly.
The projects encompass state and panchayat-level initiatives under the Roads and Buildings Department, focusing on enhancing connectivity and transport infrastructure. Patel referred to this endeavor as a convergence of education, health, and urban development, highlighting the government’s emphasis on human resource development. Notably, projects under the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department will bolster local municipalities, while the Education Department will introduce new schools and classrooms to enhance educational access in rural areas.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister inaugurated health projects to expand medical infrastructure and healthcare services, emphasizing the government’s commitment to public well-being. Projects under the Narmada, Water Resources, and Water Supply Department are set to address long-standing irrigation and drinking water challenges in the region. Patel also raised concerns about the rise in lifestyle diseases among youth, attributing it to the excessive use of chemical pesticides in agriculture and advocating for chemical-free farming practices to safeguard both soil and health.
In a separate event, Patel launched a digital governance initiative from Bhadran village, facilitating access to government services for villagers without the need to travel to cities. The state government also rolled out the Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana across 114 villages, focusing on essential infrastructure like roads, street lighting, drainage, and sanitation facilities. The Chief Minister highlighted the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments to drive inclusive development across Gujarat, aiming to transform every district into a model of balanced progress and inclusivity.
