Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel praised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) recent performance in the Assembly elections, highlighting public trust in development-focused governance. The BJP secured a significant lead in West Bengal and Assam, with around 200 seats in West Bengal and about 82 seats in Assam, according to Election Commission data. Chief Minister Patel emphasized that these victories underscored the people’s confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development-oriented policies.
The Chief Minister also lauded the BJP’s win in the Umreth by-election in Gujarat, attributing it to the public’s support for positive politics. He congratulated Harsh Parmar, the victorious BJP candidate in Umreth, for his substantial margin of victory. Patel expressed gratitude to the voters in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, and Umreth for their backing and commended party workers for their dedicated efforts.
At a celebratory event at the state BJP headquarters, Chief Minister Patel described the results as a validation of Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. He credited the party’s success to its commitment to learning from setbacks and continuous organizational efforts. The event was attended by senior leaders, including Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, along with ministers and party supporters.
