Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has urged all state government departments to collaborate effectively to resolve citizen grievances swiftly under the ‘SWAGAT’ online public grievance redressal program. During the December 2025 session of ‘SWAGAT’, the Chief Minister personally listened to citizens’ concerns and directed authorities to ensure timely solutions. He stressed the need for collective efforts by departments and district administrations to address grievances raised under ‘SWAGAT’.
The recent ‘SWAGAT’ session witnessed over 97 applicants presenting their cases directly to Chief Minister Patel. Moreover, actions were taken at the district and taluka levels on 1,284 district ‘SWAGAT’ and 2,458 taluka ‘SWAGAT’ representations during the same period. Chief Minister Patel showed special attention to farmers’ issues, instructing district collectors to promptly compensate farmers in Junagadh and Mehsana districts for acquired agricultural land.
In a specific case from Junagadh district, Chief Minister Patel directed the district collector to assess and provide access road facilities to a farmer’s field in Keshod taluka. Emphasizing the importance of quality in urban infrastructure projects, he issued strict instructions to take decisive action against those failing to maintain standards in road and drainage projects, highlighting works in Kalol municipality.
Addressing civic concerns, Chief Minister Patel instructed officials to promptly resolve obstacles hindering underground drainage connections on jointly owned land in the Vapi municipality area. He also directed authorities to grant ownership rights for a government-allotted free residential plot in village records to a beneficiary from Babra taluka. Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Vikrant Pandey, Special Duty Officers Dheeraj Parekh, and Rakesh Vyas, were present in Gandhinagar during the program, with district collectors and other officials joining via video conferencing.
Chief Minister Patel reiterated that the ‘SWAGAT’ platform showcases the Gujarat government’s dedication to responsive governance and citizen-centric administration. He emphasized the need for accountability at all levels to maintain public trust in the grievance redressal system.
