Gujarat’s Science and Technology Minister, Arjun Modhwadia, praised the state’s economic progress, manufacturing prowess, and technological advancements due to strategic investments and fiscal management. He highlighted Gujarat’s economic discipline, infrastructure development, and industry-focused policies attracting talent and investments back to the state. Notably, Gujarat is set to witness the inauguration of the Micron semiconductor facility in Sanand, a significant milestone in India’s technological landscape.
Modhwadia mentioned that the state’s proactive response during the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with India’s vaccine development and distribution efforts, has been commendable. He also lauded the state government’s initiatives under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi to support farmers, including direct financial assistance during monsoon disasters and digital systems for accessing land records.
The minister underscored Gujarat’s strong financial management and budgetary discipline, with the state’s budget reaching Rs four lakh crore. Gujarat’s leadership in various sectors was emphasized, with the state contributing significantly to India’s pharmaceutical production, cotton cultivation, vehicle manufacturing, dairy industry, and diamond exports. Additionally, Gujarat is making strides in renewable energy, advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, and social development sectors.
