Gujarat Giants’ Anushka Sharma impressed in her debut match at the Women’s Premier League 2026, scoring a quick 44 runs off 30 balls against UP Warriorz at the DY Patil Stadium. The 22-year-old top-order batter showcased confident strokeplay, drawing attention with her performance.

After a nervous start, Sharma settled into her innings and expressed gratitude towards her preparation and domestic form for her successful knock. She emphasized the importance of building partnerships during the game, highlighting her collaboration with teammate Ash that contributed positively to their team’s performance.

Batting at number three, Anushka Sharma maintained the team’s momentum by hitting boundaries and reaching the 30-run mark in just 20 balls. Despite narrowly missing a half-century, Sharma’s innings included seven fours before she was caught out on the first ball of the 16th over by Deandra Dottin.
