Gujarat Giants have brought in Jintimani Kalita to replace the injured Titas Sadhu for the rest of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. Kalita, a former player for the Mumbai Indians in the WPL, is a left-handed batter and right-arm medium pacer with experience from 13 matches in the tournament’s past editions. She joins the Giants for Rs 10 Lakhs to bolster the team’s playoff ambitions.
Titas Sadhu, who transferred from Delhi Capitals to the Giants for this WPL season, unfortunately, did not get a chance to play due to an injury. The 21-year-old Indian cricketer has faced several injuries in the last two years and was the only member of the squad yet to feature for Gujarat this season.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) confirmed the signing of Jintimani Kalita as the replacement for Titas Sadhu, highlighting Kalita’s previous stint with the Mumbai Indians and her value at Rs 10 Lakh for Gujarat Giants. Sadhu, known for her performances in the U19 World Cup and WPL for Delhi Capitals, earned her maiden India call-up in 2023. Despite making her T20I and ODI debuts in 2023 and 2024, respectively, Sadhu has been out of the national team since her last appearance in January 2025 against Ireland.
