Relief efforts have been ongoing, with immediate assistance provided by the state government, Surat Municipal Corporation, and district administration. Cash aid of around Rs 5.50 crore has been disbursed to over 61,000 affected citizens, along with household assistance amounting to Rs 14.82 crore for nearly 30,000 families. The total relief distributed so far stands at approximately Rs 20 crore.
The government has collaborated with insurance companies to expedite the processing of claims post the disaster.
