The Gujarat government has given the green light for development projects exceeding Rs 3.28 crore to enhance facilities at important tourism and pilgrimage spots in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi sanctioned these projects, which will cover various locations including Valsad, Dang, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat.
The approved initiatives involve upgrading the Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Temple in Kosamba, Valsad district, to improve visitor amenities. Additionally, funds have been allocated to enhance the approach road to the sunrise and sunset points in Saputara, a popular hill station attracting tourists.
In Upleta, Rajkot district, a solar rooftop project at the Shri Swaminarayan Temple has been given the go-ahead to promote renewable energy usage at religious sites. Moreover, development works at the Shri Mallinathji Maharaj Jain pilgrimage site in Bhoyani, Ahmedabad district, aim to enhance facilities for pilgrims.
Further approvals include renovation and infrastructure enhancements at the Shri Siddhnath Mahadev Temple in Vadodara district, encompassing borewell installation, Kota stone flooring, decorative gates construction, and electrification. Civil works and solar installations have been sanctioned for the Shri Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple complex in Surat’s Adajan area.
These projects signify the government’s commitment to modernizing pilgrimage centers and promoting sustainable infrastructure development within Gujarat’s tourism network. Officials have been tasked with ensuring timely completion of all approved works to meet quality standards, enhancing visitor experiences at religious and tourist sites.
