The Gujarat government reassured the public on Monday that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the state, urging citizens not to panic or hoard fuel. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi debunked social media claims of a fuel scarcity, emphasizing that there is a sufficient supply of petrol and diesel available. Sanghavi urged people to avoid spreading unverified information and emphasized that the situation is being closely monitored at the highest level.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is actively monitoring fuel availability every two days, with Sanghavi conducting a meeting to evaluate the current stock and distribution status across Gujarat. Continuous assessments are being conducted to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted supply at petrol pumps. Sanghavi stated that any supply issues will be promptly identified and resolved to maintain a steady distribution.
The administrative machinery in Gujarat is on high alert to address any reports of shortages or attempts to propagate rumors. Authorities are closely overseeing fuel distribution operations to ensure normal functioning and stability. This clarification comes amidst concerns over energy supplies in India due to global disruptions, although the Union Petroleum Ministry has affirmed the stability of fuel supplies, including LPG, despite global energy market challenges.
