On January 26, Gujarat will recognize 43 individuals from various security forces for their dedicated service. The Director General of Civil Defence and Home Guards will present the Governor’s Medal and Chief Minister’s Medal during the state-level Republic Day ceremony. Vazir Umarbhai Bloch, a Gram Rakshak Dal member, will receive the prestigious Governor’s Medal for his outstanding commitment and performance.
The Chief Minister’s Medal will be bestowed upon several personnel, with a significant number from the Home Guards. Among the recipients are Hareshbhai Punjabhai Khachar and Sanjaykumar Veerjalal Kayastha. Notable awardees from the Home Guards include individuals from different districts like Porbandar, Amreli, and Bharuch.
Additionally, members of the Border Wing Home Guards and Civil Defence department will also be recognized for their contributions to security. The Gram Rakshak Dal will see nine jawans honored for their role in rural security. The medals will be presented at the state-level Republic Day celebrations in Banaskantha district, acknowledging the dedication of Gujarat’s frontline service personnel.
