Gujarat Health Minister Praful Pansheriya visited Surat Civil Hospital to meet passengers injured in a bus accident near Bardoli. He assured full medical support and directed hospital authorities to ensure uninterrupted treatment. Pansheriya interacted with the injured passengers and their families, expressing his support during the difficult time.
The minister praised the medical staff at Surat Civil Hospital for providing excellent treatment to the victims. He emphasized the importance of prompt medical facilities for the patients. Pansheriya described the Bardoli bus accident as tragic and distressing, expressing deep sadness upon learning about the incident.
Pansheriya mentioned that immediate medical assistance was provided to the victims by doctors, medical officers, and nursing staff. Currently, nine patients are receiving treatment at the hospital, with their conditions reported as stable. The accident occurred on National Highway 53 near Uva village in Bardoli taluka of Surat district when two buses collided.
Authorities reported that seven people lost their lives in the accident, with around 40 others sustaining injuries. The deceased were from the bus that caught fire, while the injured passengers were taken to hospitals in Bardoli and Surat for treatment. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the crash.
The state government and the Health Department assured their full commitment to the treatment and care of the injured passengers and their families. Pansheriya extended his prayers for the speedy recovery of the victims, emphasizing the government’s support during this challenging time.
