The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has introduced a new digital platform called ‘Avasar’ to assist over 18,000 candidates who reached the interview stage of Class I and Class II recruitment processes but were not selected or remained on waiting lists. This platform aims to connect deserving candidates with potential employers in public sector undertakings, cooperative institutions, and recognized private organizations.
GPSC Secretary Sudhir Patel announced the initiative in Gandhinagar, emphasizing that the Commission will act as a facilitator between candidates and employers, providing organizations with access to a pool of qualified applicants. The Commission clarified that it will not be involved in recruitment decisions or employment conditions, serving solely as a bridge for job opportunities.
Candidates who have reached the interview stage in GPSC recruitments have already passed both the Preliminary and Main examinations, showcasing their capabilities even if they did not make the final selection list. The Avasar module is designed to help these candidates access employment opportunities in various sectors, offering them a chance to secure alternative job placements.
The initiative targets candidates who were unsuccessful in final recruitment results or placed on waiting lists, providing them with opportunities in public sector undertakings, private companies, cooperative institutions, and other recognized organizations. GPSC aims to benefit both employers and candidates by connecting organizations with skilled and dedicated human resources while creating employment avenues for deserving individuals.
