Gujarat Science City in Ahmedabad has become a global center of knowledge and innovation, attracting numerous students and science enthusiasts annually. The Science City boasts top-notch attractions like Nature Park, Robotics, Aquatic Gallery, Astronomy and Space Science Gallery, Planet Earth, Energy Education Park, and Musical Fountain, making it the leading science center in India and a popular destination for students. Since its establishment in 2002, the center has welcomed over 1.40 crore visitors, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
From 2006 to May 2026, more than 1.43 crore science enthusiasts and students have explored Science City, engaging closely with science through interactive experiences. Established on August 10, 1999, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Science City witnessed significant growth during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure as the Gujarat Chief Minister, with a focus on modernization and expansion efforts. Prime Minister Modi’s visits to the Science City in 2017 and 2023 further emphasized its global development potential.
The Gujarat Science City houses remarkable facilities, symbolizing knowledge, innovation, and progress on a global scale. Key attractions include the Aquatic Gallery, featuring a large aquarium with diverse marine life, the Astronomy and Space Science Gallery with a planetarium, the Robotics Gallery showcasing various robots, an IMAX 3D Theatre for immersive experiences, and a Multimedia Laser and Fountain Show offering a visual treat.
The Nature Park within the Science City spans 20 acres and includes unique features like Mist Forest, Butterfly Garden, and Yoga Garden. Additionally, the Energy Education Park raises awareness about energy conservation, while the Life Science Park offers interactive experiences such as a river system and a tissue culture laboratory. Visitors can engage in hands-on experiments at the Hall of Science and Hall of Space, with the latter featuring a simulated ride to Mars for an exciting experience.
