Gujarat Titans’ spinner Rashid Khan credited picking crucial wickets, like Devdutt Padikkal’s, for restricting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to under 160 runs. Despite strong starts by Padikkal (40) and Virat Kohli (28), RCB was bowled out for 155 in 19.2 overs. Khan, along with Arshad Khan and Jason Holder, played a significant role in this bowling effort.

In a video by GT, Rashid highlighted the importance of dismissing Padikkal, who was well-set at the time. He emphasized the strategy of bowling in challenging areas to unsettle attacking batters. Khan stressed the need for bowlers to handle pressure effectively in T20 cricket and stick to their game plan.

Gujarat Titans successfully chased down 156 runs, reaching 158/6 in 15.5 overs, with captain Shubman Gill’s brisk 43 leading the charge. Contributions from Jos Buttler (39) and Rahul Tewatia (27 not out) further bolstered their victory. With this win, Gujarat Titans now have 10 points from five matches, positioning them strongly in the standings. Their next match is against the Punjab Kings on May 3.
