Gulbarga Mystics clinched their first win by defeating Shivamogga Yodhas by 95 runs in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament in Mysuru. The Mystics’ strong batting performance, scoring 93 runs in the Power-play, along with Kranthi Kumar’s all-round show, led them to a challenging total of 232/8. Gautam Mishra and Ronit More also excelled with the ball, limiting Shivamogga to 137 runs.
Kranthi Kumar’s pivotal contributions continued as he took two crucial wickets for just eight runs, steering Gulbarga towards a comfortable victory. His dismissals of Harshil Dharmani and captain Smaran Ravichandran dashed Shivamogga’s hopes of a successful chase. Despite Luvnith Sisodia’s quick start for Shivamogga, their inability to handle the pressure resulted in a one-sided match, marking their second loss in three games.
In the initial innings, Gulbarga’s Lochan Gowda and Prakhar Chaturvedi set a brisk pace with aggressive batting, hinting at a possible 300-run target. However, Bheem Rao Navale’s crucial breakthroughs halted their momentum, reclaiming control for Shivamogga. Macneil Noronha and captain Manish Pandey’s partnership stabilized Gulbarga’s innings, ultimately setting a formidable total with support from Kranthi Kumar and Dhruv Prabhakar.
