The Gwalior Cheetahs, led by Rajat Patidar, staged a remarkable comeback in the MPL T20 Scindia Cup 2026, defeating the Bhopal Leopards by 12 runs at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. In a match reduced to 18 overs per side due to a delayed start caused by a wet outfield, the Cheetahs posted a formidable total of 220/8 while batting first.
Parth Chaudhary of the Cheetahs showcased a brilliant batting performance, scoring the first century of the season against the Bhopal Leopards in Indore. Chaudhary, along with Kartik Parihar, set the tone for Gwalior with a rapid 90-run opening partnership in just 7.1 overs, putting pressure on the Leopards from the beginning.
Despite losing Parihar after a quick 35 off 22 balls, Chaudhary continued his aggressive approach. Alongside captain Rajat Patidar, Chaudhary dominated the bowlers, reaching a spectacular century and finishing with 107 runs off 51 deliveries, supported by Patidar’s brisk 29 off 15 balls.
The Gwalior Cheetahs’ bowlers then took charge of the game, containing the Bhopal Leopards with disciplined bowling. Despite a solid start by Tanishq Yadav and Rahul Chandrol, the Leopards faltered, losing wickets rapidly and eventually managing only 208/7 in 18 overs, falling short of the target set by the Cheetahs.
