Hampton Sky Realty Limited, previously known as Ritesh Properties and Industries, has refuted all accusations and affirmed its adherence to relevant laws in its mobile-phone export activities. The company clarified that it ventured into mobile-phone exports in May 2023, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ and Production-Linked Incentive initiatives, highlighting the significant growth in India’s mobile-phone exports.
The denial follows the arrest of Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after raids related to a money laundering investigation. Hampton Sky Realty emphasized that its export of 44,471 units of branded handsets and accessories, including Apple iPhones, Samsung handsets, and OnePlus devices, was genuine and in compliance with stringent verification processes.
The company addressed concerns raised by ED officials regarding alleged foreign exchange violations amounting to Rs 157.12 crore, stating that all export proceeds were received through authorized banking channels and fully paid to domestic suppliers. Hampton Sky Realty underscored its cooperation with authorities and expressed confidence in proving its compliance through documentary evidence and statutory verification.
