Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, speaking in Dhuri, Punjab, emphasized the need for political change in the state. He criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, stating that jokes cannot govern and that Punjab is ready for a new era of development and transparency. Saini highlighted the challenges faced by Punjab, including the lack of progress in the war against drugs and the betrayal of farmers in receiving minimum support prices.
Saini pointed out the contrasting agricultural policies of Haryana and Punjab, praising Haryana for procuring all farmers’ crops at minimum support prices and compensating them for losses promptly. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party for failing to fulfill promises made to farmers, leading to discontent among the agricultural community. Saini also commended the BJP for its focus on implementing promises rather than just making them.
The Chief Minister highlighted the development initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central government, emphasizing the positive impact of various welfare schemes on disadvantaged sections of society. He lamented the decline of economic centers like Dhuri due to government policies and the impending closure of industries in Punjab. Saini praised Haryana’s governance for delivering welfare benefits transparently and equally to all citizens.
