Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini commended startup founders and entrepreneurs for their role in shaping the state’s economy during a pre-budget consultation event in Manesar. He highlighted the significance of young innovators in driving economic growth and mentioned the recent celebration of ‘National Startup Day’ on January 16.

Saini emphasized the broader vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing ‘Startup India’ as a transformative initiative that fosters innovation across various sectors. He likened a startup to a seed that, with proper nurturing, can flourish into a significant entity, underscoring the importance of support for budding ideas.

The Chief Minister expressed the government’s commitment to achieving developed status for the country by 2047, noting the rapid progress and significant transformations taking place. He credited Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for steering India towards a path of comprehensive development, evident in various sectors including infrastructure and transportation.

Acknowledging the valuable input from startup founders, Saini welcomed suggestions related to business facilitation, financial backing, and technical assistance. He emphasized the potential of even small ideas to make a substantial impact, emphasizing the power of vision and determination in driving change.

Saini highlighted the remarkable growth of startups in India over the past decade, with the number surging from 500 to over 2 lakh. He specifically praised Haryana, particularly Gurugram and Manesar, for their pivotal role in this growth, noting the state’s emergence as a hub for innovation with over 9,500 startups and the creation of 19 unicorns.
