The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has reconstituted the Commercial Division Benches in Srinagar and Jammu to handle commercial disputes and arbitration cases under the Commercial Courts Act, 2015. The reconstitution, replacing a previous order, will be effective until further notice, according to the Registrar General of the High Court.
In Srinagar, the Commercial Division will be presided over by Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi and Justice Shahzad Azeem, while in Jammu, it will be led by Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Justice Sanjay Parihar. These benches are tasked with resolving suits and applications related to commercial disputes and arbitration matters on the High Court’s original side.
Additionally, the High Court has also reconstituted the Commercial Appellate Division under the Commercial Courts Act. Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Sanjay Dhar will oversee the Srinagar Wing, and Justice Rajnesh Oswal and Justice Mohd Akram Chowdhary will head the Jammu Wing. These changes, approved by the Acting Chief Justice, will be in effect until further orders.
The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, with two permanent sittings in Srinagar and Jammu, holds jurisdiction over the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
