The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for May 12 at the Khanapara Veterinary College playground in Guwahati.
Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, and other senior BJP leaders joined Sarma during his visit to Raj Bhavan. Atul Bora, the President of the Asom Gana Parishad and an important ally in the NDA coalition, also attended the meeting with the Governor. The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, highlighting a significant political gathering in the Northeast.
