Hindu seers in Ayodhya have called for the resignation of Govind Dev Giri, the Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, citing alleged irregularities in donations at the Ram Temple. They accuse Giri of trying to assert dominance over Ram Janmabhoomi. Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhavan Temple expressed disappointment, stating that Giri’s actions have caused hurt within the seer community.

According to Mahant Deveshacharya ji Maharaj of Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi Temple, there is confusion surrounding Giri’s actions, with no clear communication from the Trust. He questioned Giri’s authority as Treasurer and demanded his resignation. The seers are concerned about the lack of transparency and accountability within the Trust, calling for clarity on the ongoing situation.

Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das ji Maharaj emphasized the need for accountability within the Trust, holding all members responsible for any alleged embezzlement. He suggested the establishment of a “Sanatan Board” to prevent thefts at various Hindu places of worship, highlighting the importance of transparency and integrity in managing religious donations.
