Former and current members from all sixteen Rajasthan Assemblies will convene on July 15 for a significant conference, kicking off the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The event aims to reflect on democracy’s progression, legislative customs, and the Assembly’s digital evolution while commemorating 75 years of Rajasthan’s Legislative voyage.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, speaking at a press briefing in the Rajasthan Assembly, highlighted the Amrit Mahotsav as a tribute to 75 years of the Assembly’s role in upholding democratic principles and representing the public voice. He praised the Assembly’s legacy of public service, constitutional governance, and legislative prowess.
Over the decades, members of each Assembly have made substantial contributions to Rajasthan’s growth, societal harmony, and institutional enhancements. Through pivotal laws and historic resolutions, the Assembly has laid a robust groundwork for the state’s progress in various spheres.
The Amrit Mahotsav not only celebrates democratic traditions and legislative accomplishments but also aims to bridge the Assembly’s rich heritage with future ambitions. The inaugural event, set for July 15 at the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, will unite past and present legislators from all Assembly terms since Rajasthan’s inception.
Former Assembly Speakers, Deputy Speakers, and senior legislators will be honored during the event. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will grace the opening session as the Chief Guest, while Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman, C.P. Radhakrishnan, will attend the closing ceremony in the same capacity.
