Hockey India has revealed the 24-member junior women’s team set to tour the United Kingdom from July 5 to 14. The squad, led by captain Khaidem Shileima Chanu, will engage in seven matches in Scotland and England as part of their preparations for upcoming international events, including the Junior Asia Cup.
The team’s goalkeepers are Nidhi and Engil Harsha Rani Minz, while the defensive lineup includes players like Pooja Sahoo, Supriya, Madhu, F. Lalbi Aksiami, Lalneihpuii, and Parwati Topno. In the midfield, players such as Tanuja Toppo, Supriya Kujur, and others will play alongside captain Chanu.
The forward line features players like Sukhveer Kaur, Shashi Khasa, Nisha Minj, and more. The tour will kick off with matches against the Scotland Senior Women’s Team, followed by games against junior teams from the United States, England, and Belgium. Coach Tim White aims to refine strategies and combinations during this tour to enhance the team’s performance in upcoming competitions.
