Hockey Punjab and Hockey Association of Odisha have secured Bronze Medals at the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior National Championship 2026. In the men’s category, Hockey Punjab claimed a podium finish, while the Hockey Association of Odisha achieved third place in the women’s competition.
Hockey Punjab’s success in domestic tournaments is evident with a total of 33 medals, including 14 Gold, 6 Silver, and 13 Bronze across various categories. The team’s strong performance is particularly notable in the men’s divisions, where they have clinched 26 medals, including 5 Gold Medals each in the Senior and Junior Men’s categories.
The senior men’s team of Hockey Punjab, led by Captain Harmanpreet Singh, has been instrumental in the team’s achievements. Notably, the team recently secured the title at the 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2025, with Jugraj Singh emerging as the top goalscorer.
The Hockey Association of Odisha has also demonstrated a strong presence in both men’s and women’s categories, amassing a total of 26 medals, including 11 Gold, 7 Silver, and 8 Bronze. Their success is underpinned by a well-balanced ecosystem that nurtures talent across various age groups and genders.
