Honey Baisoya secured victory at the Players Championship 2026 by carding a five-under 65 on the final day, finishing three shots ahead at the Qutab Golf Course in New Delhi. Baisoya, who led by five shots going into the last round, made six birdies and a bogey to end his five-year title drought with a total score of 23-under 257.
The 29-year-old golfer claimed his eighth professional win and earned a prize of INR 22,50,000, propelling him to the top spot in the 2026 DP World PGTI Order of Merit rankings. Khsitij Naveed Kaul, with a remarkable 62 in the final round, secured the runner-up position at 20-under 260, while Veer Ahlawat finished third at 17-under 263.
Baisoya, the favorite for the title, started strong with five birdies on the front nine, adjusting his strategy to play more aggressively with his driver. He maintained his lead on the back nine, securing victory with a superb bunker shot on the 18th hole for his sixth birdie of the day. Reflecting on his win, Baisoya acknowledged the competition from Veer and Kshitij, emphasizing the importance of controlling nerves and strategic play.
Kshitij Naveed Kaul, the second-placed finisher, delivered an impressive error-free round of 62, including eight birdies and a strong finish with four consecutive birdies. Kaul’s performance earned him the runner-up prize and a rise in the DP World PGTI Order of Merit standings.
