Human Rights Group Highlights Enforced Disappearance of Baloch Women in Pakistan

In Balochistan, violence against women is on the rise, with two Baloch women, Hani Dilwash and Heer Nisa Waheed, reportedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in Hub Chowki. Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) condemned the incident, emphasizing the violation of fundamental rights and the need for immediate disclosure of the women’s whereabouts. This action is part of a disturbing pattern of enforced disappearances targeting Baloch women, with another woman, Hajra Baloch, also recently disappearing. Additionally, a defamatory poster targeting a minor student, Nasreena Baloch, has sparked outrage, with calls for international human rights bodies to intervene and hold those responsible accountable.
