Violence against civilians in Balochistan persists as human rights organizations reveal disturbing incidents. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee disclosed the extrajudicial killing of 15-year-old Saif Jan, whose body was found in Panjgur district after being missing for three months. Allegedly, Saif Jan was killed by Pakistan-backed death squads after his enforced disappearance.
The BYC criticized the lack of action against those responsible for such killings, contrasting it with the imprisonment of BYC leaders without evidence. Urgent international intervention is urged to address the severe oppression faced by the people of Balochistan, emphasizing the need to listen to their voices.
Meanwhile, the Baloch Voice for Justice highlighted the enforced disappearance of three young Baloch youths by Pakistani forces, identified as Hammal Khan, Azizullah, and Saddique. Families endure uncertainty and anguish as authorities withhold information on their whereabouts, a violation of fundamental human rights that demands global attention.
Recently, the Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department condemned the enforced disappearance of elderly Baloch farmer Abdullah Mussa by Pakistani forces in Gwadar district. The detention of Abdullah Mussa raises serious human rights concerns, calling for his immediate disclosure and safe release. Balochistan continues to witness atrocities, including enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings by Pakistani forces.
