Violence against civilians in Balochistan is on the rise, with reports of two civilians being extrajudicially killed and four others disappearing, allegedly at the hands of Pakistani forces. The Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department, Paank, revealed that Ajmal Baloch and Saeed Ahmed’s bodies were found in the Nalent area of Pasni in the Gwadar district on May 3. Ajmal was taken by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps and Military agencies from Gwadar city on August 21, 2025, and remained missing for nine months without any legal recourse.
Paank highlighted that Saeed Ahmed was forcefully taken from Jiwani in Gwadar on December 9, 2025, by the Frontier Corps. These incidents are part of a disturbing trend of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan by Pakistani forces. Additionally, two brothers, Ghulam Rasool and Abdulla Jan, were abducted by Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department on May 3 in Barkhan district, while student Nasrat Khan was disappeared from Quetta by the CTD personnel.
The situation worsened with the enforced disappearance of bus driver Javid Baloch by Military Intelligence on April 29 in Gwadar. Meanwhile, students at Bolan Medical College in Quetta have been protesting for fourteen days demanding the release of Khadija Baloch, who was taken from the BMC female hostel by Pakistani security forces. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee expressed concerns over the increasing cases of enforced disappearances, especially targeting Baloch women, emphasizing the need for urgent action to address these human rights violations.
