Violence against civilians in Balochistan persists, with a human rights organization shedding light on recent atrocities. Jan Muhammad, who had been missing for four months, was found dead in Kech district. Another incident involved the enforced disappearance of 18-year-old student Shahab Baloch by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps.

Mahrang Baloch, a human rights activist, expressed deep concern over the surge in disappearances and killings in Balochistan. She criticized the shrinking space for political expression and human rights advocacy, citing intimidation tactics used to silence dissenting voices.

Mahrang, currently detained in Quetta, condemned the harassment of Baloch Yakjehti Committee members’ families and the state’s efforts to suppress activism. She emphasized the peaceful nature of their advocacy and urged global human rights organizations to address the crisis in Balochistan.
