Hyderabad police have apprehended 10 individuals in connection with the savage killing of a 21-year-old engineering student due to a romantic relationship. The arrests were disclosed by the police three days after the tragic incident occurred at Indira Nagar Colony, Medibavi. Among the arrested are the girl’s father, uncles, and other family members.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshitha Krishna Murthy informed the media that the crime transpired on May 7, with the accused facing charges of murder, unlawful assembly, and possession of lethal weapons. The family of the victim disapproved of his relationship with their daughter, leading to the fatal outcome. Investigations unveiled a premeditated plan by the accused to end the victim’s life.
The perpetrators, aged between 17 and 23, executed the heinous act by stabbing the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene. Notably, the primary suspect, Allaboina Sai Kiran, known as Sai, has a criminal record and was previously involved in an attempted murder case. The police have issued a stern warning against any form of violence or retaliation, emphasizing a zero-tolerance stance towards vigilantism.
