The Hyderabad Police are searching for four suspects involved in the targeted killing of Telangana High Court advocate Khaja Moizuddin. Special teams are actively looking for these suspects, who were spotted in CCTV footage. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects used a numberless SUV to carry out the attack near the advocate’s residence.
The CCTV footage reveals that the suspects were waiting near the victim’s home and struck as he entered his car. The fatal incident occurred in the Masab Tank area of Hyderabad. Khaja Moizuddin was hit by a speeding SUV while getting into his car, resulting in severe injuries that led to his death at the hospital.
Initially considered a hit-and-run, the case has now been registered as murder after the family’s complaint and CCTV analysis. Police suspect a connection to disputes over Waqf lands, with indications of a premeditated assault. The attackers reportedly conducted a reconnaissance of the advocate’s house for three days before the incident.
Khaja Moizuddin, a senior advocate with over three decades of experience, had been handling legal battles in the High Court and City Civil Court. The police are exploring potential links to disputes over Waqf lands in Malakpet and other Hyderabad areas. The advocate’s family has named two individuals allegedly tied to the encroachment cases he was involved in.
Moizuddin’s son, Farhan, also an advocate, disclosed that his father had faced threats from these individuals linked to the Waqf land disputes. Farhan mentioned that his father had been targeted multiple times before, with one of the accused even issuing a warning during a previous visit to his office.
