Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) disclosed a 17% year-on-year surge in domestic sales for April, reaching 51,902 units, the highest April figure in the company’s history. The automaker also accomplished 13,708 units in monthly export sales, attributing the success to recent product enhancements.
Tarun Garg, MD and CEO of HMIL, expressed satisfaction with the robust start to the new financial year, emphasizing the continuation of positive momentum from previous months into April 2026. The 5-Star Bharat NCAP rating for VENUE and VENUE N Line highlighted the company’s unwavering dedication to safety, contributing to the model’s record-breaking monthly domestic sales of 12,420 units.
Garg reiterated the company’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions, top-notch safety standards, and exceptional customer experiences across India. In a parallel development, Kia India achieved its highest-ever April sales with 27,286 units, marking a 16% year-on-year growth compared to the previous year.
Kia India’s year-to-date sales stood at 111,611 units, reflecting a 13% increase from the same period last year. Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, attributed this success to the strong performance of models like the Kia Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and Clavis, which have bolstered the company’s market presence across various segments.
